We are committed to protecting the privacy of your personal information in compliance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Australian Privacy Principles therein and any other applicable privacy laws.

This Privacy Policy applies to Wilan ProjectCo Pty Ltd (671 921 207) (‘we’, ‘us’, ‘our’) and our affiliates (including trusts), and sets out how we collect, use, disclose and manage your personal information (as described below).

This may include the types of information listed above, along with your qualifications, work history and reference details. Before offering you a position, we may collect additional details such as your tax file number, superannuation information and other background check information (such as police clearances, to the extent required or permitted by applicable laws).

Generally, we will collect this information directly from you. We may also collect this information from third parties (such as recruitment agencies, background check agencies or your referees).

We collect personal information for the primary purpose of:

(c) complying with our contractual, legal or regulatory obligations or exercising our legal rights;
(d) monitoring, analysing or improving our business or website;

1.5.1.
As far as reasonably practicable, we will only collect your personal information directly from you. We may collect your personal information via your interaction with our:
(a) website;
(b) contact, queries, complaints or mailing forms or email addresses;
(c) community consultation processes or events (in person or online); and
(d) marketing initiatives, promotional activities or other events.

In some circumstances, we may obtain your personal information (including sensitive information) from publicly available sources or third parties. In these circumstances, we will take reasonable steps to ensure that you are made aware that the information was obtained from publicly available sources or third parties.

1.6. How do we store and protect your personal information?

1.6.1.
We endeavour to take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. We maintain physical security over paper and electronic data stored at our premises including locked document storage and shredding and onsite servers. We also maintain computer and network security on our computer systems such as network perimeter firewalls and endpoint security monitoring. Where we store data offsite or in storage centres, we will ensure that your personal information is treated in accordance with the applicable laws by those third-party providers.

1.6.2.
We will take reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de-identify your personal information (including sensitive information) when we no longer need it for the purpose for which it was obtained, or if there is no regulatory or legal requirement for us to keep your information.

We encourage you to exercise care in sending personal information to us via the internet, particularly where no encryption is used.

1.7. How might we use and disclose your personal information?

1.7.1.
We will not use or disclose your personal information except in accordance with this Privacy Policy and the applicable laws.

(a) our related bodies corporate (within the meaning of section 50 of the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth));
